Hong Kong-based The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has started accepting payments in cryptocurrency from any country for hotel reservations.
According to the official press release, it is the first international boutique hotel group to accept crypto payments — bringing the tourism industry into the future of secure online payments.
In order to make this possible, the company has partnered with global crypto-payment gateway Coindirect, allowing customers to pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum and 40 other cryptocurrencies.

Currently, cryptocurrency payments are accepted via each hotel’s reservation centres. The group stated that this feature will be available on the website booking engines in the near future.
