In partnership with INHOPE, Tether seeks to reduce controls and on cryptocurrency payments made in marketplaces for child abuse content.
The stablecoin operator will partner with INHOPE, a global network fighting online child sexual abuse material (CSAM), to share information, coordinate with stakeholders, and impose sanctions on problematic actors in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
The blog post writes that it seeks to establish a model for the sector at large and provide a best practise for how cryptocurrency businesses may recognise and report CSAM marketplaces more quicker.
According to Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino, the company is collaborating with law enforcement, financial intelligence agencies, politicians, and international standard-setting organizations to create risk-mitigating regulations.
