The piece is available for free on Nifty Gateway until Sunday and is also being shown on large screens on London’s Oxford Street.
Jones, an early adopter of NFTs, has become one of the most successful creators on Nifty Gateway, transforming works in traditional media into digitized tokens. He sees The Oath as a unique opportunity to commemorate a historical event and to give his artwork to anyone in the world who wants to have it.
In addition to The Oath, other digital celebrations include a coronation game created by Burnley-based tech company +24. Using AI tools, including ChatGPT, the team developed King Charles Dash, a free browser game that sees players navigate King Charles’ carriage through the streets of London. Within a few hours of its release, thousands of people had already played the game.
