Gate.io, a leading digital asset trading platform, has announced its sponsorship and active involvement in the Coinfest Asia 2023 on August 24 and 25 in Bali, Indonesia. Coinfest Asia is an important event in the Asian Web3 landscape, a PR from the company said.
“Gate.io remains committed to fostering dialogue and engagement within the crypto industry. As such, Richard, Head of Global Business Development and Institutional at Gate.io will participate in panel discussion together with other crypto industry leaders to share pivotal insights on the dynamics of crypto market cycles,” the PR said.
In April, Gate Group, which owns the Gate.io crypto exchange, confirmed it applied for regulatory approval with Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). As per reports, it’s seeking a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) License to trade non-security tokens. It also intends to apply for security dealing and automated trading services to facilitate security token trading.
In late May, Gate.io issued a statement claiming it was not facing any issues with operations or withdrawals.
“Recently, there have been rumors circulating regarding Gate.io. We would like to clarify that our operations are running healthily, withdrawals are functioning properly, and there are no issues with our operations or withdrawals, as rumored. The Gate.io team is currently focusing on our 10th-anniversary celebration and the launch of Gate Group’s Hong Kong trading platform, Gate.HK,” Gate.io said in a statement.
