Hardware wallet brand Ledger has introduced a new wallet — Ledger Stax — which promises to be bigger and safer, and with functionalities compared to its existing Ledger Nano S and Nano X hardware wallets.
Ledger has credited Tony Fadell, builder of the iPod and a co-creator of the iPhone, as the “inventor and mastermind” of the new product, which has been designed by the LAYER Studio and built by Ledger, the company announced in a blog on its site on Tuesday.
“Ledger Stax is our new, breakthrough consumer device. It is built on Ledger’s secure architecture and introduces a unique form designed for unprecedented accessibility and interactivity with the world of cryptocurrencies and NFTs,” it added.
Besides, top-class security for crypto and NFTs, Ledger Stax will offer an enhanced web3 experience. It connects to the Ledger Live Mobile app on your smartphone with Bluetooth and enables downloads of Web3 apps. Ledger Stax is a credit-card-sized device that can manage 500 digital assets.
“Ledger Stax has integrated magnets, making them easily stackable, particularly for those who own multiple devices. The curved E Ink spine shows what’s inside, like a book on a shelf,” Ledger said in its blog.
It will use Ledger Connect, an upcoming device that enables crypto wallet extension. It allows you to connect Web3 apps from just anywhere. The new Ledger hardware wallet supports wireless Qi charging.
