P2E Project Calvaria Hits 2.5M In Presale: What to Expect

The crypto market has been awash with new game releases in recent months, but very few offer the long-term utility needed to make them worthwhile investments. However, the arrival of the Calvaria P2E project has delivered everything that we’ve been looking for in the Game-Fi space thanks to its innovative approach. And we’re certainly not the only ones to think so; the presale for this exciting new card battle game has exceeded all expectations by passing the $2.5 million mark, and its RIA token is all set to hit some major exchanges.

Calvaria will Debut on Several Top Exchanges

In January 2023, the Calvaria team confirmed that the project would debut on several of the world’s top cryptocurrency exchanges. First up, market leader BKEX, which pulls in nearly $500 million in daily trading volume and attracts over 1.5 million weekly visitors, will hold its IEO. While a date is still to be confirmed, BKEX will exclusively trade RIA across 24 hours before Calvaria opens on other exchanges.

At the time of writing, these exchanges include Changelly Pro and GotBit, which have both been confirmed. Meanwhile, according to a recent AMA, the Calvaria team are also “in talks” with other global exchanges. The coin will likely hit BKEX at an initial price point upwards of $0.0325 (the current presale price of the RIA token). This will mean that investors who bought into stage one of the presale will already be sitting on profits of a minimum of 225%.

Furthermore, Calvaria has finalised a deal with KuCoin that will not only provide KuWallet support on launch but will also enable existing KuWallet users to participate in the remaining presale stage. This deal may well be a stepping stone to solidify an RIA listing on the KuCoin exchange after the presale ends. A listing on KuCoin would deliver high levels of exposure for the project, particularly since it’s currently ranked as the fourth-largest exchange per 24-hour trading volume.

Shaking up the P2E Market

Play-to-earn (P2E) gaming is a burgeoning crypto and blockchain trend, having first gained popularity during the gaming boom of 2020. Itself a development of iGaming — which is characterised by digital platforms offering exciting poker matches as well as remote sports betting opportunities — P2E gaming rewards players in the form of NFTs and other digital assets. With the exception of a handful of games, the vast majority of releases are yet to have much of an impact, both in the gaming space and the blockchain market.

What makes the Calvaria project different from its contemporaries is that it appeals to both casual and dedicated gamers. The flagship game, Duels of Eternity, is a classic battle-card strategy game akin to the likes of Hearthstone and Pokemon. Players are tasked with building a deck of powerful NFT cards to battle their opponents and win RIA tokens. It’s rendered in full 3D and will be available on PC as well as across the full spectrum of app stores.

One of the ways in which Duels of Eternity will attract traditional gamers is through its story mode, which immerses players in Calvaira lore while providing them with the opportunity to earn additional assets to use in other game modes. The ownership of all earned in-game assets and NFTs will pass to players, allowing them to trade them openly on the market or combine their cards to upgrade them. Furthermore, while Calvaria remains an open-chain project, Duels… will follow the Polygon Layer 2 protocol, ensuring smooth gameplay and efficient transactions.

To get casual gamers on board, particularly those playing on the mobile platform, the Calvaria team has developed an almost identical free-to-play version of Duels of Eternity to be released alongside the main P2E version. While the gameplay and the innovative features remain the same, players won’t receive rewards or own any assets generated while playing the game. Instead, the F2P version will incentivise players to join the P2E title by displaying a tracker throughout, which will show gamers their potential earnings.

Like many of the premium titles in the video gaming market, Duels of Eternity will be seasonally updated. Calvaria developers plan to regularly release new assets and gaming modes, which will prevent stagnation and appeal to a new audience of players. Furthermore, there are plans in place to set up an in-house eSports team as well as annual invitational tournaments.

Universal Appeal

The Calvaria project has the edge over other NFT games in that it’s easily accessible to those with no prior crypto knowledge. Being a title committed to AAA standards, Duels of Eternity puts gameplay and player engagement at the forefront, with gamers not even needing a crypto wallet as a requirement to play. Furthermore, its mass appeal and intrinsic reward system make it highly attractive to investors – as evidenced by its exceptional performance to date. With the presale stage now drawing to a close, Calvaria is set to explode in value when it goes live on crypto exchanges.
